1-31-07 SDCS meeting

Called to order at 7:04pm.

Present are:

Josh Penix
Tracy Reed
3 members of SoCal Freenet whose names I did not hear.

Lan went over last minutes. 

Tracy given tax-exempty status documentation for the clubs records.

Tracy given SIG guidelines from 1983 by Dave Tooley to make copies of
and return at next meeting.

Discussed insurance requirements.

Discuss meeting times: is quarterly enough? Yes, if we give mailbox
key to treasurer since all mail is for him anyway.

Discuss which SIG will hsot the SDCS elections and who has
paid. SDPCUG is biggest. Has KPLUG paid? Lan will investigate.

Financial report:
Checking has $1891 and savings has $11889 for a total of $13780.

Cost is $1132.26 over last year.

Discussed consulting with an attorney.

Mail given to treasurer.

Dick Hyatt moves we consult attorney. Josh seconds. Motion carried.

Next meeting will be April 25th, 7pm.

New SIG is being organized: TCL/TK User Group. Agreed that 6 months
will be given for a group to organize and reach 10 members. Agreed
that we will not double-charge a person $6 to be in two SDCS SIGs.

Agreed we will remain a member of APCUG and SDCS will pay the dues.

Dave Tooley motions, Josh seconds we will pay APCUG $50/year for
membership.

Josh will remove phone number from website.

2007 elections will be announced to sdcs-interest.
